Impermanence

I stare at the beauty that I know won’t last,
The darkness shall overtake it,
Or time will eradicate it.
Will a photo truly capture the moment?
I think not.
I must simply enjoy the view,
While knowing in the midst of the darkness that is to come,
The next beautiful moment is unfolding.
