Mirror Gazing

Mirror gazing, I am told will
Evoke compassion toward the person reflected there;
Diminish fear of failure and inadequacy;
Illuminate insecurities and release them;
Train acceptance through an
Attentive mind;
Target a deeper understanding of
Insight and intuition;
Open my mind to
New possibilities.

Prompted by dVerse host, Merrill’s “Quadrille: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall” and “W3 Prompt #55: Wea’ve Written Weekly” poet of the week, Punam.

  1. This is beautiful—like those moments when we look into our own eyes in the mirror, release the exterior and all the things we’ve taken on or that have been put on us, really see ourselves, and love ourselves.
