Bound to an office chair            
Eager to depart
After work I’m going where
Chilling out is an art
Heading for the beach!

Brain is not on duty
Afternoon is dragging on
Leave early? Absolutely!
Later gators - I am gone
See you in a week!  (If I still have a job)

W3 Prompt #71: Wea’ve Written Weekly’s poet of the week, Willow, prompts us to:

  • Write a two-stanza acrostic poem for the words “Beach Balls”;
    • Thematic: The theme is “holiday thoughts”;
    • Rhyming: In each of your poem’s two stanzas, the 1st line must rhyme with the 3rdline; the 2nd line must rhyme with the 4th line; and the 5th line need not rhyme.
