Is the flower a trillium? That’s what we call them in Michigan and Wisconsin. The flowers are white. What a lovely poem. It’s fun seeing all the different flowers sprouting this spring.

Thank you, Colleen! Yes, it is a type of Trillium native to the Southeast. There is a lovely nature preserve in my area that ensures the preservation of native flora.
