It is rare that I cry
but you make my tears
fall hard
from clouds that form
behind my eyes
they pour over cliffs
run down streams
tumble over rocks
pool into lakes
flow over dams
rush down rivers
tumble into the sea
rise with the waves
fall to the shore
rest in the place
where I fell for you
W3 Prompt #124: Wea’ve Written Weekly poet of the week, Lynn, prompts us to: “Compose a ‘list poem’, which includes the word ‘fall’ or some form of it…”.
