Brown Thrasher

Curious brown bird
Striking eyes colored yellow
Pops up from the bush
And rests there quite mellow

Back into the thicket
It thrashes about
The shrubbery wobbles
The bird pops back out

It flies to a tree
And a few songs it croons
From a large repertoire
Of improvised tunes
