Everglades playground
Black and white warbler
Leaves behind the crisp weather
Subtropical play

A lone trek
Befitting the wanderer
Silence a welcome partner
Echoes of uncertainty take hold
Niggling, mind-plaguing doubts
Carry-on lone wanderer
Evening approaches

This pond-lily doesn’t open to reveal large flowers like many other water-lilies. I love the pod that is left after blooming:

Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD)
Restless stagnation
Calm moments undervalued
Changes materialize
Chaos ensues
Stillness is sought
Cumbersome daily routines
Unfulfilling activities
Running in circles
Movement without direction
Restless stagnation
Distractedly stumbling through time
Focused on doing, doing, doing…
Fretting about what comes next
A missed opportunity for self-reflection
Calm moments undervalued
Life’s inevitable curve ball
A variable tossed in the mix
Manifesting a precarious undertaking
The mundane upended
Changes materialize
Progressing at an unconstrained pace
Grasping for a foothold
Goals become obscured
Satisfaction remains elusive
Chaos ensues
Trapped in a superfluous cascade
Falling, falling, falling…
Landing on solid rock
Grateful for the calm
Stillness is sought

Peeks from top the shrubbery
Head bobs in greeting

Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge (CMMC) – close up or macro
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge (CFFC) – the color green
See the snowy egret upon the water dancing
Its tufts of plumage sway in the breeze
Water dancing ballerina in a tutu of white
Graceful movements quite entrancing
Tiptoeing through the surf with ease
Observe the water dancing bird
As it will soon lift its wings and take flight
Leaving but a ring of water stirred
W3 Prompt #93: Wea’ve Written Weekly’s poet of the week, Kerfe, prompts us to write a “san san” on the theme of dancing:
The “san san” poetic form has three requirements:

Bush Warblers sing songs of hope; an end to winter
they conjure spring’s arrival; revere warm spring light
as each day subtly lengthens; insects are summoned
alighting on fresh blossoms, where Bush Warblers sing.
