Day and Night

The morning dawns a bright new day;
Full of energy, light and play;
Optimistic points of view;
A future well looked forward to.

As the day winds to a close;
The light begins to decompose;
And darkness starts to settle in;
Doubt and fear creep under the skin.

A fretful night of doom and gloom;
Until eyes open to a light filled room;
And a buoyant day begins again;
At least until night closes in.
