A vacant chair sits beside me
I rise for a walk
Out the door the lone space follows
Walking adjacent
A one-sided conversation
No response forthcoming
A futile longing
For just one more moment
Unbidden memories flow
Bittersweet
A reluctant smirk forms upon my lips.
Vacant Chair
A very intriguing poem.

Would you mind if I share this as a ‘reblog’ at some point in the future? If not, that’s totally okay ~ no pressure!
