Calm After the Storm

No point in buying a new calendar
As my cell phone serves me well
If only I would look

Calendar lacks January entries
The New Year with quiet start
Winter desolation

December offers very little rest
Done trimming the Christmas tree 
Await barrage of kin

1. I used to keep a paper planner in addition to my phone calendar, but I have abandoned that now.
