Time was such an elusive idea
Slipping through grasping fingers
End of days incomplete
Suddenly I find time staring me down
Challenging my resilience
In my new found freedom
Retirement alters the power of time
Malleable as putty
To be molded anew
Time was such an elusive idea
Challenging my resilience
To be molded anew

Oh, how lovely, Jennifer. This is so relatable since I retired 12 years ago. I thought my time would be all mine but siily me should have known better. With that said, I enjoy every minute of sharing my time with family and others. Beautiful take on the prompt. 💗

“Time was such an illusive idea” 👏I like this line. It can be like the Scarlet Pimpernel!
