For the love of fresh coffee
Clumsy movement while groggy
Spilled coffee beans on the floor
Will get some at the bookstore

For the love of a new book
Out the door for a quick look
It’s at the local bookstore
A release I can’t ignore

For the love of god I pray
Nobody sees me this way
As I rushed from the shower
I forgot to don trousers

  2. Jen this made me laugh! I remember the release of the 5th Harry Potter book and because the boys and my husband were on a boy scout trip, I was charged with securing a copy! Hehe! I managed to get my pants on but this is so what happened! And then I went home and was able to read it through uninterrupted!! Good times and a great poem!!

Jen, like Val it made me laugh too and I am reminded of the same incident when I have to run to the bookstore to claim the book one of my daughters ordered, I was in a hurry, I forgot to change my slippers. 😃 in case you are wondering why I was in a hurry….the message clearly emphasied that if we don’t get the book immediately they will give it another client.
