I could love the rain
Long for rolling thunder clouds
Raindrops rhythmic beat
But there is trepidation
Regular hundred year floods

I too want the rain – to rejuvenate the landscape but the thunder and lightening scares me and the dog!! It is a give and take always looking for the balance!! Your Tanka states it beautifully!!
