Thoughts swirl aimlessly
Arise out of mist
Wrestle under the surface
Drag into the abyss
Mute sensory perception
Distort reality
Breathe in
Breathe out
A moment of reprieve granted
Freeing the mind
Just long enough
To find the car keys

I started feeling relaxed with your poem and then ended up laughing. Love it well done.

Jenn, this is truly evocative and relatable… it captures the chaotic nature of the mind and the fleeting moments of clarity amidst the chaos! Excellent.

I lose my keys all the time. It’s ridiculous. I got a lanyard to put them on and keep them around my neck when I’m out. Or hang them up when I get home. I still lose them.

It can be a laugh at yourself moment, but it’s not funny when you are in a rush and can’t find them.
