Together
Is how strong bonds form
We unite
One for all
Lifting each other higher
So none shall falter.
Together
Strength is born through love
Hate does wane
Accepting
Each other’s differences
Removing armor.
W3 Prompt #63: Wea’ve Written Weekly’s poet of the week, Murisopsis prompts us to write a Shadorma on the topic of strength.
“A shadorma is a poem comprised of six-line stanzas with a syllable count of three syllables in the first line, five in the second, three in the third and fourth lines, seven in the fifth, and five in the sixth.”
Black feathers, skins and fur
Give these beauties their allure
An observer may become spellbound
By shades of nature so profound

Denzil’s Nature Photo Challenge #20: Black

Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge – beginning with the letter B or W.
Twelve painted rocks
Placed along the trail
Slowing me down and drawing me in.
I envision each artist at work
Decipher each painting’s message
Wonder at each rocks’ placement choice.
Exiting the path - feeling fulfilled
An intended lone stroll
Heartened by a dozen companions.
Prompted by dVerse host Lisa to write a Quadrille (44 words) incorporating some form of the word twelve..

Prompted by Philo’s LENS-ARTISTS CHALLENGE # 257 SIMPLICITY PHOTOGRAPHY.
Each day progressing more rapid than last
“Slow down” I say - you’re becoming the past
Trying to cherish each day that remains
Moment by moment washing down the drain
Sweet encounters turn into memories
Occasions slipping away on a breeze
“Stop it” I say - where is the time control?
I’ll switch the lever on the time console
Tick tock tick tock is Father Time’s reply
I throw back my head in a bitter cry
I wallow and wail with fists in the air
Announce to the world that time is unfair
Through the window observe the sun setting
A precious day squandered – foolish fretting
W3 Prompt #62: Wea’ve Written Weekly’s poet of the week Pankaj Kumar prompts us to “Write a sonnet or any other 14-line poem about ‘The concept of time and how it affects our lives.’”
A vacant chair sits beside me
I rise for a walk
Out the door the lone space follows
Walking adjacent
A one-sided conversation
No response forthcoming
A futile longing
For just one more moment
Unbidden memories flow
Bittersweet
A reluctant smirk forms upon my lips.
